Over a Decade of Legal Experience

Attorney Barrett has represented numerous clients in various criminal, civil, housing, and administrative courts across Connecticut. In addition to courtroom representation, he has also advised and counseled clients in transactional and regulatory matters.

Mike was born and raised in Waterbury, Connecticut and attended Crosby High School. After graduating from the University of Connecticut, he received his law degree from New York Law School. While in law school, gained a variety of legal experience by interning at the United States Attorney’s Office, then working for a large mortgage lending corporation and for a private law firm.

Mike began his career at a mid-sized general practice private law firm in Waterbury immediately upon graduating from law school. In 2008, he became a partner at a small law firm with offices in both the greater Waterbury and Hartford areas. In 2013, he founded the Law Offices of Michael T. Barrett.
